Newport Rockpool by Lachlan Dempsey (Australia Photo Spot)

The Newport Rockpool sits at the southern end of Newport Beach. The rockpool is 50 metres long with a natural rock platform as the floor. Uniquely this rockpool disappears almost completely at high tide. This is a great spot in big surf, though. The waves were breaking at least 100m out beyond the pool walls, giving Newport RockPool one of the most spectacular backdrops. (Newport, New South Wales, Australia)
