Tipsoo Lake | Washington Photo Spot

Deep, but melting snow often covers Tipsoo Lake at Chinook Pass making it a great place to admire Mount Rainier. Tipsoo Lake is a high alpine lake that is gorgeous to photograph throughout the year both when the lake is covered by snow and when the surrounding meadow is filled with wildflowers. The blooms are dependent on weather patterns and snowmelt so it’s hard to predict exactly when the wildflowers will make their debut each year. The blooms usually appear in late July with the peak blooms happening in mid-August. (Sunrise, Washington, USA)
