Falls Creek Falls is one of southern Washington’s highest waterfalls with a total drop of roughly 300ft over three rugged tiers tucked into a beautiful forest setting. The trail to the falls is also quite photogenic, it hugs the creek for the first mile, and takes you through old growth trees for the second mile. Once the falls are in sight, make sure to stop and look up to see the top tier through the trees. It’s not visible otherwise. The trail ends with with an impressive view of the middle and lower tier. The road to the trail head is closed from Dec 1st – April 1st, so if you go during that time, add an extra 4 miles to the hike. (Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington, USA)on in Picture Lake. This small lake is surrounded by thick greenery and is especially photogenic on days when the wind is calm when the lake sits perfectly still.
