Rochester Covered Bridge | Oregon Photo Spot

Rochester Covered Bridge is a beautiful, white-covered bridge (circa 1933) that has been well maintained over the years. The bridge has a fascinating history as well. IN the 1950s, county workers had burned down a similar covered bridge in the vicinity. Fearing the loss of the Rochester Covered Bridge, locals armed themselves and promised to keep watch over the bridge day and night until county officials promised not to burn this bridge down as well. Thankfully, the county commissioners agreed the next day, saving the bridge. The bridge itself uses a Howe Truss design, and its white painted exterior and wooden roadbed make Rochester Covered Bridge one of the most photogenic covered bridges in Oregon.
