Theodore Roosevelt National Park is full of scenic views; however, River Bend Overlook may be the best. The overlook sits atop a butte where a stone and wood shelter has been a favourite photography spot since the Civilian Conservation Corps built it in 1937. The result is an incredible view of the Little Missouri River valley snaking off into the distance. Accessed along the Scenic Drive that winds its way through Theodore Roosevelt National Park, this is a must stop at the later hours of the day for a fantastic raked lighting landscape photo. Plan to arrive just before golden hours for the most dramatic results, and if you’re lucky, you might even capture an incredible sunset. (Grassy Butte, North Dakota, USA)
