Asbury Park Carousel Photo by Michael McHugh
The Asbury Park Carousel building is an ornate copper-clad rotunda that is a beautiful landmark along the waterfront. The Carousel section is part of the Casino Building, a striking 1929 beaux-arts structure designed by architect Whitney Warren and partner Charles Wetmore (designers of Grand Central Terminal in New York). The famed carousel was bought in 1990 and moved to Family Kingdom Park in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where it now operates with fibreglass replicas of the original wooden horses. The building still stands as an amazing shooting subject. (Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA)
