Buddha Temple | Louisiana Photo Spot

Is a unique little gem tucked away in the lush greenery of Jungle Gardens. Inside the Temple is a Buddha statue believed to be from 1100 A.D. The statue, sometimes called the “Tobasco Buddha”, was given to the Jungle Gardens founder in 1936 as a gift. The centuries-old Buddha sits atop one of seven “Hills of Knowledge” located in Jungle Gardens. The gardens are home to more than 200 acres of flowers & trees featuring a Chinese garden plus a bird sanctuary. (Avery Island, Louisiana, USA)
