Marina City is one of two iconic buildings with a unique design on Chicago’s lakefront. It was designed by Bertrand Goldberg and completed in 1963. The Marina City skyscraper has been featured in movies, television shows, music videos, and even video games. The Marina City skyscrapers construction cost $36 million in 1963. At the time, they were both the world’s tallest residential buildings and tallest reinforced concrete structures.
