Garden of the Gods | Illinois Photo Spot

The Garden of the Gods in Shawnee National Forest is one of the most photographed locations in Illinois. Home to fascinating geological formations, the rocks are nestled in a beautiful forested area.  The sandstone rock formations offer great foreground to panoramic views of the surrounding forest. There is also a lovely trail here that is about a quarter-mile long and takes about an hour to walk and explore.
