Fabyan Windmill by Joseph Gage

This 68-foot tall windmill near Chicago was once part of the large country estate of George and Nelle Fabyan. Built in the 1850s, the Fabyan Windmill has undergone numerous restorations over its decades of existence. The windmill is a rare dutch style and is notable for having been constructed without any nails. The entire windmill is a masterpiece of woodworking. It is now part of the Fabyan Forest Preserve and opens for public viewing. (Batavia, Illinois)
