Anna Ruby Falls | Georgia Photo Spot

Located near Helen, Georgia, Anna Ruby Falls is a gem within the verdant sprawl of Chattahoochee National Forest. The falls are where two creeks, Curtis Creek and York Creek, merge, creating a stunning spectacle as they cascade down the mountain face. Curtis Creek (on the right) drops 153 feet and York Creek (on the left) drops about 50 feet. The falls are accessed through a half-mile paved trail, leading through the lush, moss-covered forest, and offering a multitude of vantage points for photographers. The area is particularly beautiful after a rain, when the water flow is heavier, and during the autumn months when the surrounding foliage blazes with color. However, the falls’ ethereal beauty is undeniable year-round, making it a must-visit spot for nature and landscape photographers alike.
