Timberline Falls | Colorado Photo Spot

The Timberline Falls are found along the Sky Pond Lake Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. The falls are just below the Lake of Glass which is also quite photogenic. The hike to Timberline Falls starts at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead found on Bear Lake Road approximately 8 miles from Highway 36. There is a lot of parking here, but these trails are also quite popular so a dawn arrival is recommended to avoid the crowds. The hike to the falls from the trailhead is quite challenging with an elevation climb of about 1,500 feet over 5 miles. Anticipate as well that a small amount of climbing may be required to continue on past these falls to the Sky Pond itself. (Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA)
