Trona Pinnacles | California Photo Spot

Out in the eastern desert between Death Valley and the Sierra Mountains lie these unusual rock formation that gives you a feeling that you aren’t on planet earth anymore. The incredible landscape consists of more than 500 tufa spires, some as high as 140 feet, rising from the bed of an ancient lake. This area is open for disperse camping, plus a great spot for sunset and also great location for astrophotography. Just be mindful of the heat. (Westend, California, USA)
