Mossbrae Falls - Photo by Paulius Dragunas
Mossbrae Falls is a unique set of falls that appear to seep right out of the mossy rock wall. Roughly 50 feet high and 175 feet wide, the falls are fed by springs that course down the canyon wall, and into the Sacramento River, creating the effect of many waterfall streams, two of them especially large, falling into the river.
It can be tricky to access, one route you can take is from Hedge Creek Falls you can cross the Sacramento River’s freezing waters (about 2 feet deep), and walk north along the riverbed (or the train tracks, but be careful as it is an active rail line). (Dunsmuir, California, USA)
