The Paterson Grain Elevator is a picturesque abandoned grain elevator in the town of Orkney. In use until 1976, it is one of a series of grain elevators once belonging to N.M. Paterson and Sons Grain company. It is a beautiful example of this type of prairie structure that sits next to an old rail line in what remains of a largely abandoned village. A couple of homes still remain in Orkney, but essentially it is abandoned store fronts and the imposing Patterson Grain Elevator. (Orkney, Saskatchewan, Canada)
