Solar Powered Greenhouses by Mike Beauregard (Nunavut Photo Spot)

Photographers will find these specially designed greenhouses across the street from John Arnalukjuak High School. The greenhouses are part of a project to tackle food insecurity in the community. The project uses local soils and fertilizers to grow vegetables; potatoes, carrots, radishes, beets, and salad. Experiments run to improve yield in the summer months. The Solar Powered Greenhouses are one of the region’s more interesting man-made photographic subjects. (Arviat, Nunavut, Canada)
