The beautiful Halifax Public Gardens are a highlight of Halifax’s photo spots. First established in 1867, the gardens are located at the top of Spring Garden Road, a lovely Halifax district full of unique shops and restaurants to explore. The gardens’ establishment in 1867 coincided with Canadian Confederation, so the park is as old as Canada itself. The garden’s design stays true to the park’s Victorian-era roots and includes small ponds, cute bridges, historic statues, and a lovely gazebo surrounded by stunning flora and fauna.

The photogenic wrought iron gates are also a highlight of the park and are opened each year from approximately May 1 until November 1. The Halifax Public Gardens are a popular photography location for wedding and prom photos. The bandstand also features free public concerts on Sunday afternoons in the park.
