A small museum in what remains of the LaHave Lighthouse is open to visitors daily. This site was the first capital of New France in 1632 and a key part of Acadian history. Once defended by 25 canons, the site was the capital until 1636 until it, and most of the inhabitants moved to Annapolis Royal to establish a new capital. Sadly most of the remains of what once stood here have been washed away, but what is lefts is a cute and interesting museum to explore. (LaHave, Nova Scotia, Canada)
