Point Atkinson Lighthouse by Mario Piacenza

Lighthouse Park is a beautiful gem of old-growth forest nestled away in the bustling West Vancouver. Tucked away at the southern end of the park is the historic Point Atkinson Lighthouse. This unique reinforced concrete structure was built in 1914 atop the rugged granite boulders jutting out overlooking the mouth of the Burrard Inlet. It’s concrete structure was considered at the time to be quite an innovation in lighthouse design. (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
