Love in the Rain by Bruce Voyce | BC Photo Spot

Located in Queen Elizabeth Park, “Love in the Rain” is a unique sculpture designed by the Vancouver artist Bruce Voyce. The installation comprises four sets of interlocked, human-size, steel figures under four large, leaf-like canopies that provide protection from the rain. Each figure represents a stage in life, and the love locks attached by visitors add a splash of color to the otherwise monochrome figures. This site is an ideal spot for both abstract and candid photography. Photographers can play with perspective, capturing the figures against the backdrop of the park, or focus on the love locks for a more intimate, detailed shot. In the right light, the steel structure takes on a beautiful, warm glow, making early morning and late afternoon the best times for photography. Remember to respect the artwork and not to climb on the sculpture.
