Llyn Padarn Lone Tree | Wales Photo Spot

The Llyn Padarn Lone Tree is a photographer’s dream – a small tree standing all alone on the shore or sometimes on its own personal little island, depending on the water level, backed by green rolling hills and surrounded by calm lake waters. Plus as an extra photogenic bonus it always looks different, in summer it is filled with gorgeous green leaves, while in autumn it turns to an autumnal orange, and in winter it is vacant of all leaves. Depending on the light and the skies behind it, it looks totally different – especially with Snowdonia’s ever-changing weather conditions. Capturing the tree in altered states is the perfect photography challenge. (Llanberis, Wales)
