Crossness Pumping Station is an opulent and meticulously restored Victorian-era pumping station. Opened in 1865, this masterpiece of Victorian ironworks was built by Sir Joseph Bazalgette for London’s sewage system. The bright colours and intricate designs make it a wonderful hidden gem on the outskirts of London that begs to be photographed. Visitors take part in guided tours of the pumping station and there are almost limitless photography opportunities. There is a fee to enter the pumping station (approx £12) but the costs are worth it. (Abbey Wood, London, England, UK)
