Seerenbach Falls | Switzerland Photo Spot
Share this Page
Located near the small town of Betlis, on the northern side of the Walensee Lake in Switzerland, Seerenbach Falls is a striking three-tiered waterfall. As one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe, it provides awe-inspiring vistas for photography enthusiasts. The uppermost tier features an impressive drop of 305 meters, contributing to its total height of 585 meters. This natural spectacle is particularly powerful and photogenic in the spring and early summer when snowmelt fuels the waterfall. A hiking trail leads to a vantage point for a direct view of the falls. However, for a more encompassing shot that includes the magnificent surrounding landscape, a wide-angle lens would be beneficial. Note that the waterfall can dry up during the summer, so the best time for photography is late spring.
