Krakow Main Square, located in the heart of the city, is known as the largest medieval town square in Europe and is a treasure trove of architectural wonders. Its origins date back to the 13th century, and it has been the city’s principal social, political, and commercial hub since the Middle Ages. The square is surrounded by historical townhouses, all of which offer unique photographic opportunities. The Cloth Hall, in the middle of the square, is a particularly impressive structure, richly decorated and lit beautifully at night. The towering St. Mary’s Basilica and its hourly trumpet call add to the atmospheric charm of the location. With bustling street life, horse-drawn carriages, street performers, and seasonal markets, the square offers countless dynamic scenes for photographers to capture, be it day or night.
