The Jacobuskerk is a historic stone church that was built in 1427 as a catholic church but became protestant during the reformation of 1598. It was nicely restored in 1960-1964 and is now used for protestant and catholic services plus community events such as the Christmas fair. It is open for viewing daily in the summer unless there is a service or event going on. It is situated beautifully in the centre of Rolde village, and from the church you can take a nice walk on a lane of chestnut trees to the elementary and right behind that the two Rolder Hunebeds.
