Hague Municipality is the name of the modern city hall in The Hague, Netherlands. The building is an important landmark in the city and is located in the heart of the city’s administrative and commercial district. It was designed by architect Richard Meier and was completed in 1995. The building features a unique, contemporary design with a large central atrium and a distinctive glass façade. In 2023, to honour what would have been M.C. Esher’s 125th birthday the building was decorated with a piece inspired by the famed artist. The Hague Municipality houses the offices of the mayor and other city officials, as well as public spaces such as a library, exhibition spaces, and a restaurant. (The Hague, Netherlands)
