Blokweer Museum Mill by Ken Gyssens

Built-in 1630, the Blokweer Museum Mill is one of the most photogenic in the Dutch village on Kinderijk. Blokweer is the only mill in the region for which its original proof of purchase is on record in the city archives, proving it is the oldest in the village. This windmill is part of a series of mills along the Het Nieuwe Waterschap that redistributes water for Kinderdijk and the surrounding area. The region of Kinderdijk is a photographer’s dream, with idyllic trails and paths dotting the waterways, each punctuated by one of its 19 historic windmills. (Kinderdijk, Netherlands)
