The Kirkilai Lakes are a magnificent geological formation that is part of the Biržai Regional Park. This landscape was formed by erosion and subsidence processes during the last Ice Age, resulting in more than 30 karst lakes of varying sizes scattered like a constellation across the landscape. An observation tower offers photographers a fantastic elevated viewpoint to capture the unique patterns of these lakes amidst the surrounding meadows, forests, and farmlands. The region’s rich biodiversity also provides ample opportunities for nature and wildlife photography.
