The National Library of Latvia, also known as the Castle of Light, is an imposing structure on the Riga skyline. Constructed in 214, the building was designed to resemble the Glass Mountain of Latvian mythology. The building is home to numerous books for research, provides free internet to the local community and is a popular event and conference centre. The design and location on the far bank of the Daugava River from Riga’s Old City make it a fantastic photography location. (Riga, Latvia)
