Originally built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan, Castello Sforzesco stands on the site of an earlier 14th-century fortification. It was later renovated and expanded in the 16th century, becoming one of the largest citadels in Europe at the time. Today, the castle’s dramatic architecture, ornate details, and extensive grounds offer a myriad of photo opportunities. It houses several of the city’s museum and art collections, making it a significant cultural attraction. Shooting possibilities are numerous, from capturing the grandeur of the castle’s façade and intricate brickwork to framing the beautiful fountains and sculptures in the gardens. Depending on the time of day, you can capture dramatic shadows or a soft glow illuminating the castle’s features.
