Saint Mark’s Basilica - Photo by Nilesh

Saint Mark’s Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) is a historic cathedral dating back to the 11th century built in a Byzantine style. There are more than 8,000 square meters of mosaics inside that were created over 800 years and are simply stunning. As with all churches in Italy, you need to make sure your shoulders are covered as well as your legs – especially your knees and up. It sits in the centre of St. Mark’s Square, which is an iconic square & gathering place dating back to the 12th century. (Venice, Italy)
