Vestrahorn | Iceland Photo Spot

Vestrahorn is a dramatic peak that rises out of a flat, black sand beach and dominates the view while a gentle clear lagoon laps at the shore.  The stunning black dunes and beach were formed as a result of volcanic rock being ground down over many years to fine particles, it’s an incredible sight to see. Down towards the sea, it is possible to get perfect reflections on the wet sand. Seals also tend to hang out on the stretch of sand, so if you’re lucky, you can catch a picture of a lazing seal as well.
