Möðrudalskirkja is a quaint rural chapel was built by a local farmer, Jón Stefánsson, in 1949. The chapel stands out with it’s bright red roof and crisp white paint job. Various trails have been marked through the area, which prides itself on wide panoramas with the majestic Mount Herðubreið looming in the background. (Möðrudalur, Iceland)
