Innra-Hólmskirkja is a historic rural church that was built in 1891. The church was originally wooden but when it was restored in the 1950s an exterior of cement was added to protect the building from Iceland’s harsh weather. The church is quite photogenic with its crisp white walls and bright red rood that really stand out against its rich green surroundings. (Innrihólmur, Iceland)
