Gullfoss (“Golden Falls” in Icelandic) is a waterfall located in the canyon of the Hvítá river and one of the main attractions of the Golden Circle. This waterfall is a must-visit waterfall during any photo adventure in Iceland. At the waterfall, the cascades send the water down 32 feet across two stages into the narrow Gullfossgjúfur canyon. The water flows rapidly, and spray should be expected, so photographers should plan accordingly and protect their equipment. There is also a nearby cafe where visitors can take a break and have a snack and hot drink between shooting. (Gulfoss, Iceland)
