Folaldafoss | Iceland Photo Spot

Folaldafoss is an amazing set of falls where the stream is squeezed through a narrow gap in one of the cliff bands which running across the valley. This creates a unique waterfall where the stream, which otherwise flows southeast, bends suddenly almost due north. As the stream is redirected it funnels through a narrow gap and plunges a sheer 54-feet into a small bowl with an attractive pool at its base. Below the pool is a small cascading fall of another 5-feet. (Berufjörður, Iceland)
