Halde Rheinelbe is an amazing shooting gem made up of a stunning viewpoint and a unique public sculpture. From the top of the hill/heap you will have a wide panorama over the central Ruhr area. Here it becomes clear that the Ruhr area has changed from an industrial landscape to a varied and strikingly “green” landscape. The artist Herman Prigann created the “Stairway to Heaven” made up of the concrete relics of a colliery in Dortmund rising into the sky like an Aztec. (Gelsenkirchen, Germany)
