Petit Palais - Photo by Patrick Giraud

Petit Palais is an art museum that was originally built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, it now houses the Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris. The Beaux-Arts style Petit Palais was designed by Charles Girault, and is a unique half circle design built around an intricate inner courtyard and garden. Its ionic columns, grand porch, and dome echo those of the Invalides across the river. Entrance to visit the museum’s permanent collections is free. (Paris, France)
