The Arc de Triomphe is an iconic Parisian landmark. Found at the western edge of the Champs-Élysées one of the largest traffic circles in Europe surrounds it. It can be a real challenge to shoot but using multiple exposures and stacking them in photoshop can make both the cars and people disappear. Shooting the Arc de Triomphe at night also results in some unique light trails and lovely lighting as a result of the long exposure.
Built to honour those that died in the French Revolutiona nd Napoleonic wars, the Arc de Triomphe was completed in 1836. The Tomb of France’s Unknown Soldier was added following World War I. (Paris, France)
