MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore’s oldest reservoir and a favorite among nature enthusiasts and photographers. Surrounded by a lush rainforest, the reservoir offers a variety of landscapes and wildlife to capture, from tranquil waters to hiking trails and swinging suspension bridges. The Treetop Walk, a 250-meter-long freestanding suspension bridge, provides an aerial perspective of the forest canopy and is a popular spot for panoramic shots. The area is home to diverse wildlife such as long-tailed macaques, squirrels, and various bird species, offering excellent opportunities for nature photography. Ideal times for photography are early mornings and late afternoons to avoid the tropical heat and crowds. There’s no entry fee, but it’s recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry insect repellent. (Singapore)
