Mount Gede | Indonesia Photo Spot

Mount Gede is a stratovolcano that uniquely has two peaks with Mount Gede as one peak and Mount Pangrango for the other one. The summit overlooks the outskirts of Jakarta and offers an accessible hike for taste of volcano adventure. The 10 kilometer trail from Cibodas entry point to the top of Mount Gede offers a variety nature attractions for the adventure photographer, from beautiful rainforest, blue lake, waterfall, hot spring, the amazing crater and to alpine meadow Suryakencana. During a clear day sunrise from the top of Mount Gede is beautiful – dark sky turns red and then amazing sunlight appears above the crater before turning into a crisp blue sky.
